The caster on the manual pallet truck is a very important accessory. It is mainly used for steering and locking. The role of the caster not only allows us to carry it easily, but also can move in any direction to improve work efficiency.

In many cases, irregular operations or improper maintenance can cause the casters to not be used normally. Here are some methods for the maintenance of casters:

Manual forklifts need to check brackets and fasteners regularly, tighten loose axles and nuts, and check whether the welds or support plates are worn. Overloading or impact will cause the bracket to twist. The twisted bracket causes the heavy load to lean on individual wheels and cause premature damage to the wheels. If dry casters are inserted, the nuts should be tightened or firm and ensure that the design is not.

Regularly add lubricating oil, the pallet truck casters and movable bearings can be used for a long time. Applying lubricating oil to the friction position of the wheel shaft, the seal ring and the ball bearing can reduce wear and make the rotation flexible. Lubrication is carried out every six months under normal conditions. The wheels should be lubricated after the car is cleaned every month.

Casters: If the movable steering is too loose, a new caster needs to be replaced, and when the steering wheel cannot rotate freely, it is also necessary to check whether there are real objects and dirt in the ball of the caster.

Check the wear of the casters, because in use, there may be improper rotation of the wheels, ropes and other sundries. The anti-wrap cover can block the entanglement of these sundries; or because the casters are too tight or too loose.
